McDonalds Fast Food Outlets:

The McDonalds fast food chain from the United States of America decided to invest in South Africa following the constitutional changes in 1994. To date over 100 outlets have been opened in South Africa. The compactness of these outlets, the number of trades and disciplines and the fast-track construction cycle make these otherwise small projects very demanding.

HHO Africa have been members of the design team for the outlets in the Western and Southern Cape since 1997. Their primary responsibilities have been for all the civil engineering aspects including site earthworks, services, road & parking facilities, retaining structures etc. HHO Africa have also supervised the construction of all the civil works to ensure quality standards & target budgets are fully met.

The South African market response has been different from other parts of the world with a higher drive-through customer demand. The concepts of value engineering have been applied extensively to reduce initial costs of the outlets. To date HHO Africa have been involved in over 20 outlets for McDonalds.
